The atheist would say either Dr. John is wrong or the Bible is wrong owing to the fact that all the animals went into the Ark and therefore the dinosaur would
not have perished in the flood.
The view of the scientist is that dinosaurs perished before day six and the arrival of humankind in a catastrophe of such immensity that even the sun and the moon were blotted out causing darkness over the world. To my mind this is indicated in Genesis 2 when on the forth day we read about the sun and the moon which must indicate their reappearance, as we are told there was light and darkness on the first day. So on day four the dinosaurs perished, man was created on the sixth day and the Bible and science bear witness one with the other and the dinosaur had perished before man was created. Just my opinion by the way, please feel free to comment. Ta.

Hi Graham you posted good points, ill need to work more on this to give an adequate answer. I am not sure on the 4th day that the dinosaurs perished. But
lets study this and bring some scripture in to it.

Looking forward to it. Cheers. By the way, I think you will find out the dinosaurs were long dead by the time of Noah who was living only about 4000BC from
memory?

Hi there, I am sure we all believe the Bible is the itinerant word of God, I know I do and although people have asked me many
questions like they did Jesus in attempting to trick him, they never succeeded and the fact people have been doing this for hundreds of years without success
proves to me it is their understanding of the Word of God that is at fault and not the Bible. This realisation that the word of God cannot be faulted has
increased my faith and my belief in a wonder working God no end.
However over the last five years I have become increasingly dismayed by some of God's own people and some of the false
doctrine that is creeping into the church, often because people take the Bible literally, except perhaps for the parables, which they know to be a heavenly
story with an earthly meaning. Two examples of what I mean is that some Christians believe the earth was created literally in six days and is only about 8,000
years old. Another example is regarding the temptation of Eve in the Garden of Eden where people actually believe there was a talking snake which I think is an
Old Testament parable to explain how we are tempted into being disobedient with the snake representing the thoughts that come into our heads.
The reason for opening myself up like this is to see if I am talking to like minded people, because the last thing I want to do is to cause dissension among a lovely group of sincere and devout Christian friends, so what I would like to know is if you would like to continue with the discussion, or not, about creation which shows the Bible to be correct and in line with science. Thanks. Yours in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Graham.
